I wish I could swim.......

Many words and thoughts will be published by many more people more important and qualified than I am, but, nevertheless I still wanted to add my own little personal farewell to the thin white duke.

From first hearing Jean Genie as a little boy to revelling in Blackstar, Bowie has always been there, always interesting and innovative, and whatever the fashion he has always been relevant and respected. “Heroes” remains my very favourite song. I had a little walk this week and took Heroes with me, I felt the tears forming as I walked.

We live in an increasingly frightening and ugly world, and it is important to appreciate all of the things in it that make it better, we lost one of those when we lost David Bowie. Thank you for everything Sir, and goodnight.
